What is the Oldtimers Longboard Competition?
13 September 2024 - WELLFLEET, MA - The Oldtimers Longboard Classic surfing competition rode the waves for its 50th year at White Crest Beach in Wellfleet on August 18. The event embraces surfer and lifeguard culture and forms and iconic part of the Outer Cape's history.
The entire event celebrates an Outer Cape and a time and place where names like Jasper conjured up images of good times and good water. Competitors compete for both serious and silly awards but the overarching message of the the day focuses on fellowship and fun and a love of surf.
