22 DECEMBER 2023 -- Orleans, MA -- Some might say, Cape Cod has become synonymous with over-development. Sipson Island, on the other hand is working toward doing the opposite. Demolition of three large houses was recently completed on the island as Sipson Island Trust (SIT) progresses with their mission to un-develop the land. SIT President and Orleans resident, Mon Cochran discusses the goals and the challenges of taking on this kind of re-wilding.
