What opened in Wellfleet?

04 October 2024 — WELLFLEET, MA - On September 27,  AIM Wellness Center cut the ribbon and opened its doors in Wellfleet. The new mental and behavioral health center offers in-person counseling and represents the type of resources the state's Mental Health ABC legislation hoped to support. It fills a void in mental health and substance abuse resources on the Outer and Lower Cape.

What is the AIM Wellness Center?

The AIM Wellness Center, part of Outer Cape Health Services (OCHS), brings a suite of counseling and related services to an isolated region known to be lacking in year-round and accessible mental health care. It offers out-patient services, person-to-person 12 months a year. It focuses on substance abuse, as well as on other behavioral and mental health and wellness issues.

The new center, located on Rt 6 near the OCHS pharmacy and Wellfleet Veterinary,  has been in the planning for several years. A combination community support and legislative support helped raise funds to make the wellness center possible.
