The new food waste composting facility is located at the Eastham Transfer Station at 555 Old Orchard Road.

What items can be composted at the new facility in Eastham?

  • Vegetables
  • Fruit and flowers
  • Coffee, Tea, and filters
  • Breads and cereals
  • Egg Shells
  • Meat and Bones
  • Paper Napkins


What items should NOT be brought for composting?

While napkins or paper towels that have been used only for food may be composted, towels used with any cleaners should be thrown in the trash. Anything with ink, like paper bags and newspapers, should be recycled. Additionally, dog and cat waste is prohibited.
