Lots of cute cavies looking for fur-ever homes. Who can resist these whiskers?

"Just this past week we took in over 50 guinea pigs from a home in the Boston area... this was really just because the person bought six guinea pigs from a pet store and were told they were all female, but they weren't. There was one male and six turned into over 50 almost overnight ... They are great pets, a great starter pet, and we want to find as many homes for guinea pigs as we can..."

Who has guinea pigs?

The Animal Rescue League of Boston has guinea pigs ... Lots of them! .More than 100 bright-eyed guinea pigs - aka cavies - are frolicking at the Animal Rescue League of Boston in Brewster, waiting for their fur-ever homes. A slew of surrenders and piggie population boom has the center offering a sort of adoption guinea-pigfest, with adoption fees waived.

How are the cavies finding new homes?

To help the social (and seriously cute!) little critters ind new homes, the Animal Rescue League is running a no-cost adoption fest, to encourage people to give this perfect "first pet" a chance at a new life.
