When will Orleans New Wastewater Facility Go Online?

After decades of planning, connection is coming soon
03 March 2023 -- ORLEANS, MA -- After more than two decades of planning, design and construction, Orleans’ new wastewater treatment facility on Overland Way will likely begin its procedural connection process in mid-March. Following operational approval from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, local officials expect the facility to begin a “soft start” in operations on Mar. 6. If the process proceeds according to plan, the town expects the first connections within the Downtown Sewer Service Area will take place around St. Patrick’s Day. Learn More
