The annual event began as an exercise in building community relationships by the Orleans Police Department and has grown into an anticipated tradition.

Why does the police department run the event?

An event like this provides a way to bring his staff into the community, encouraging engagement, and offering something the community enjoys. This type of positive interaction create a building block upon which strong relationships can grow.

The event has become something of a tradition in the town, with both visitors and residents from the region finding a reason to enjoy the evening streets, dance to some music, and snack on a treat or two.
