Gulf of Maine Wind Energy Plant Public Information Session - Full Meeting

The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, is proposing a 1 million acre wind farm in the Gulf of Maine, some of which are proposed 23 miles outside the shores of Lower and Outer Cape. Wednesday July 18 BOEM held the first in-person public information session on Cape Cod in Eastham.
"Why aren't you coming with answers that would've educated me a little more and made me feel a little more comfortable with what you're doing. What I'm hearing tonight is terrifying. There. There's no future for these fishermen, let alone our children who might be fishermen."

The public information session took place five days before the closing of the draft Environmental Assessment public commenting period on July 22. The video is of the hearing in its entirety, including audio of the public comments and questions. At the time of publishing BOEM has not announced when and where the answers to those comments and questions will be posted.
